On April 12 - Justin and I were offered a fantastic work opportunity to move abroad and work in Sakhalin, Russia. Justin was offered the position of Site Safety Health and Environmental Manager and was offered the Human Resources Manager position. We have decided to take on this adventure as a family. It will be hard being away from family for 2-3 years but we hope that through this opportunity we grow closer as a family and give our kids an appreciation for the world.
In early April Carter got his Blue Belt in Taekwondo! Carter absolutely loves his karate class and his teacher. As he has advanced into he harder patterns and forms he really has to work hard at home to memorize and get the moves right. Enrolling Carter in TKD has been one of the best things we have done - he has and continues to learn respect and discipline and he absolutely loves it. You can see it on his face in the pictures!
We will now be taking a break from Karate because its SWIM SEASON time of year again! This is one of my favorite seasons - its busy but so much fun to watch theses kids in the water! We have moved swim teams to join our favorite swim coach Nathan Townsend on the Mills Branch Marlins!
This year the second grade filed trip for Riley was a retreat to help the class prepare to make their first communion. I was lucky enough to chaperone the retreat and Riley and I had a great time! I was in charge of the bingo station and had so much fun with these great kids!

Easter Sunday this year we stayed in Texas. We had a wonderful day with family and friends. We went to mass first and had a neighborhood egg hunt with the kids. Each kid had their own color egg and they were tasked to search and find them around the street. They day ended with some fun with Bill and his family coming over for some swim time and BBQ.

Each year at St Marthas the elementary children have to pick a poem and memorize it for a grade. The top two kids with the best poem and delivery present in front of the entire school. This year I am proud to say that both Riley and Carter were chosen for their respective classrooms. They both worked super hard on the poems and did such an amazing job. Granny and Paw Paw were in town for a visit and got to witness the moment of fame!
Riley made her first communion at the end of the month. It was so special to me that she wore a family dress that Aunt Dawn let us borrow. It was a perfect fit and Riley looked beautiful. We were lucky that both my brothers and my parents were able to celebrate this special occasion with us. It was a great day and I could not be prouder of Riley!

Riley for a class assignment had to write a book about her family. I am the subject of Chapter 1. I guess I tell her too much about work sometimes? At least I know she listens! This chick cracks me up.
