Riley Starts Kindergarden at St. Martha's

The day finally came.. my little girl started Kindergarden! UGH! How did this come so fast? While I know Riley is ready for her next chapter in her academic career its so hard for me to watch this little one grow up so fast. I am very excited about her new school St Marthas and all it has to offer her but it was very sad for me to see her leave the Atascocita Montissory school that she has been attending since 18 months old. Her teachers are like our family and they have raised her with me. I know St Marthas will be fantastic but change is never easy. I was emotional on the first day but Riley kept it all together. I could tell she was nervous because she didn't talk as much as usual but she walked into her class and put her backpack up with complete confidence and was ready to tackle her day. I thought the uniform (or as Riley calls it.. her unicorn) would be an issue but she really does not seem to be bothered.... and actually is starting to like it. Praying that my little girl has a fantastic year!
