Family Getaway before School starts - Artesian Lakes

Since this is a big year for our family with Riley starting Kindergarten we wanted to take a little family getaway to spend quality time together and celebrate all the changes this year will bring. We ended up renting a cabin about an hour from the house at a resort called Artesian Lakes. This was a place where we could disconnect (no TV) and spend time as a family enjoying the great outdoors. We went up on a Friday and spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday enjoying all the fun stuff the resort had to offer. We had the opportunity to ride horses, canoe, swim, hike and fish. It was a great time and the kids had a ball. They call the cabin the cavern and are already asking when we can go back. It was such a fun thing to do as a family... we will for sure go back!

 The resort had a great slide that went into a lake as well as a pool for us to enjoy. All the kids and daddy loved the slide
