June 2016

Summer was a complete whirlwind so my apologizes I am just not catching up. This was the first year we did swim team with Riley and it was so busy but so much fun! The team practiced Tuesday - Friday from 4:00-4:30 and she had swim meets almost every weekend. (usually starting at 7 am) I put Riley in swim team because I wanted her to progress her swimming and she certainly did that! As a 6 and under swimmer she competes in the 25 yard freestyle and the 25 yard backstroke. When we started the summer with time trials it took Riley a minute and a half to complete her swim. By the end of the year she was able to swim it in 37 seconds! Her improvement through the quick season was amazing! She had so much fun swimming and hanging with her swim buddies. We are beyond pleased with her progress and cannot wait for next years season!

Carter also had a great year swimming. We were lucky to have Coach Omar back for the third summer. Coach Omar is college student at University of Texas that teaches swim lessons during the summer when he is home. He has taught Riley since she was two and he is so great with the kids. Carter was able to work with him this summer and he has done very well! Carter swims great but he just struggles with lifting his head to breathe. He can swim as long as he holds his breath. He will get there and hopefully will join his sister on swim team!

Our last lesson with Coach Omar... we will miss him so much but so happy he got a full time job at Samsung

Carter really wanted to try soccer this summer so after madness of swim team we registered Carter in soccer lessons at JC sports. He loves it so much. His favorite thing to do is run so soccer has been a great outlet for him to run and learn the game. He really enjoys his Monday night soccer!

This summer Riley has lost both of her two bottom teeth. She has finally caught up to her brother with both kiddos missing 2 teeth.
