Long AMAZING Memorial Day weekend

We had an AMAZING memorial day weekend. Justin had to leave to head to Delaware for a work trip so my mom came and spent the week with me and the kids to help out. I was so grateful to have her to spend time with and the extra set of hands was certainly helpful. Carter loved spending time with his Granny! He would smile and laugh when he would see her. It was absolutely precious! Riley had a great time showing Granny her Ipad skills and teaching her the animals and continents on her world map. On Thursday Paw-Paw flew into town and Riley was so excited. All week she would tell me and Granny... "paw-paw coming the weekend!" She adores her paw paw and the feeling is certainly mutual! Riley's school was closed on Friday so we had the entire day to play. We went to the park and enjoyed some fun in the pool. Justin came back home on Friday and we were all glad to have him back! The rest of the weekend we spent feeding ducks, swimming and playing with family. Caroline came up to visit on Sunday and Riley had a blast playing with her! It was an action packed weekend but we all had a great time.

Carter is almost 4 months old and I just cannot believe how fast he is growing up! He is such a delightful baby and so low maintence. He spends his days laughing and observing the world around him. He has the chubbiest cheeks and he smiles more than any baby I have ever seen. If you just look at him he smiles. He loves to just sit around and talk. I talk to him and he talks back. He is a great baby and Justin and I are loving every minute of him. He is eating much better and gaining weight so I am very pleased that we no longer have those problems. He is napping better, taking 4 naps a day and still going to bed between 7-7:30. His naps vary in length but most of the time I have to work to make him nap past 45 min. At night he is still an angel. He sleeps from 7-4 AM and will wake up to eat and go back to bed. I will take my nap challenges since he has such great naps! He is a strong baby and loves to stand and is doing great with lifting his head. We go back to the doctor for his 4 month visit next Monday so I am anxious to hear how much he ways and how he is doing.

Riley is of course still a bundle of personality and is very entertaining. She is doing so well with her language sometimes I am amazed at how well she speaks. She is always able to get her point across and I just don't know where she learns all the words she knows. She is doing EXCELLENT on potty training and even with all the chaos going on around here I can proudly say she had NO ACCIDENTS! I think we are finally getting over our hurdle! I could not be happier! She is getting more into her stuffed animals and baby dolls lately which is precious to watch. Every day when she comes home from school she lines up her stuffed animals and covers them with blankets and scolds them for not listening and sends them to bed. I think she gets in trouble at school for not listening then comes home and takes it out on her animals and dolls. Its hilarious to watch and at any given time you can walk in my living room and there are animals all over the floor covered in blankets. She still is completely smitten with her baby brother and he loves her too. I know it will not last forever but I am going to enjoy it while it does!

Here are some photos:

My poor baby has allergies like her momma. She gets puffy eyes and I have to keep her from rubbing them because if she does it develops into pink eye. She does not complain but it looks horrible
