We had a great weekend filled with fantastic weather. We took the kids out to dinner, we went on walks and bike rides and we were finally able to use our pool! Both kids are doing great! Riley did not have the best potty training weekend... and I am really struggling as to why we are having setbacks. I am convinced that she is just lazy. She has accidents when she is busy doing something and does not want to stop and use the potty. Boy is potty training frustrating! I know she will get there, I just wish it was sooner rather than later! She also seems to be showing signs of allergies. Her eyes were watering this weekend and I an seeing some drainage as well. Depending on how she looks tomorrow we may be making a visit to the doctor to see whats going on. Other than that she is full of personality! We went to Fudruckers on Saturday night for dinner and Riley told me she had to go potty... so we jumped up and headed to the public restroom... on the way Riley thought it would be appropriate to tell everyone that was dining between our table and the restroom that she was going potty. Luckily there was a nice couple behind us that have grandkids and they got plenty of laughs at Riley. After she went potty Riley provided them with a detailed outcome. They cheered and gave her all the positive reinforcement she needed. The craziest and funniest things come out of this little girls mouth... She keeps us all laughing.
Carter is still his bubbly smiling self. He is napping a little better but we are struggling to get him over the 45 minute mark. I know this is a phase and will pass but the poor guy is just exhausted. Luckily he is an angel at night so I can deal with the daytime drama. He is so exhausted he goes to bed between 7-7:30 which is fantastic as Riley goes to bed at 7:30 too. Mom has a little time before bed with no kids! Today was Carter's first day in our pool. He seemed to really like it!
