January 2019 - Family Ski Trip, Belt Test and Riley's confession
Since the kids did not go back to school until the second week of January - we decided to go to Breckenridge with some friends and take the kids skiing! My kids have not had many snow encounters so they were very excited! We had an action packed vacation - we went tubing, ice skating, skiing, dog sledding, snow moiling and touring ice caverns. It was so much fun and we covered a lot of ground. Carter was a natural ice skater - he was on the ice and was super comfortable. Riley took a little longer but eventually got the hang of it. They both did awesome on the skis but next time Carter wants to try and snowboard. The kids loved the dog sledding - mostly enjoyed playing with the sweet dogs... but they did get to drive the sled which was really cool. Snow mobile riding was another amazing experience. They are like jet skis for the snow and we were able to ride two at a time. Of course Justin stuck his in the snow with Carter on the back - so we had a rescue mission but luckily nobody got hurt. The trip was awesome and I am so glad we got to do this with friends. This is a trip we will do again for sure!

Carter got the chance to sit for his orange belt. As he continues to progress the tests get harder and harder. He has to practice his forms a lot at home but I think its amazing to watch him work hard and achieve his goals. He is so proud of himself and this does such great things for his confidence!

Last but not least Riley received the sacrament of confession. I am so proud of her and the good Catholic she is growing into.
