June 2017 -End of school, Swim, New Orleans Birthday Party, Sale of house!

June was a crazy month for our family but was filled with lots of great memories. The kids ended their first year at St. Marthas. It was a year of plenty of ups and downs but we survived. Riley finished Kindergarten with academic excellence. Her teacher was beyond complimentary of her reading and her mathematical abilities. Miss Harrison has a lot of leadership potential and has a hard time understanding why the teacher tells her what to do so her behavior is a work in progress. She has a great heart and I think will do fine once she finds her way.

Peace out Kindergarten! First Grade here I come!

Ready for summer!

Adios St Joesph

Carter had a challenging year. In his defense I moved him mid year so I know it was hard for him to adjust to his new environment and make friends. Carter is a sweet kid but has a ton of energy and is very impulsive. I think the move was good for him in some respects but this class did not challenge him quite the way his old school did and boredom was not good for Carter. He had plenty of of rough roads but we were blessed that his two teachers were awesome and so was the St Martha's administration. I am hoping next year goes much better!

The last week of school Carter finally was awarded his first Wonderful Wednesday. At St Martha's Wonderful Wednesday means that your child had a great week. Given Carters issues this year this award meant so much to all of us. He was so proud and that keychain is now prominently displayed on his backpack!

Riley got invited to swim her first invitational Summer Champs! These are swim meets that kids have to be invited to based on their swim times. She placed and one her first medal! She was beyond excited! She said she is now just like Phelps!

Fathers day this year was a lot of fun! Bill, Jeff and I went to brunch with our families at a Brazilian Steakhouse called Churascos. We had a great time but unfortunately I didn't get a ton of pictures. I was able to take some cute photos before we left...

Swim team ended in June and we had a great season! It is so much fun and I could not be prouder of how awesome the kids did this year. Both of them made so much progress and had a blast! Riley has really become an awesome swimmer. She won high point for the team this year meaning in the 6 and under age group  she won the most points for her team and the most races. Carter made a ton of progress this summer! He started the season doggie paddling across the pool to really swimming! I am beyond proud of these two and cannot wait for next season!
