July 2017 - San Antonio Vacation, Lake time, and other random fun!

Summer is in full swing and we were ready for another family vacation. Unfortunately with all the uncertainty with the home sale/build we did not book a family vacation so we decided to keep it low key this year and booked the July 4th weekend at the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio. Jeff and Kristen decided to join us and so did Jason, Dawn, Hailey and Jacob. The kids were so excited to have family join us! We get a great discount on the resort through work so we booked everyone rooms and headed to San Antonio! We have heard good things about the Hyatt resorts but I was pleasantly surprised by how kid friendly the report was. It was a very relaxing trip that included golf, floating the lazy river, late night amores and movies on the lawn, and quality family time. The report is in the middle of San Antonio so we were able to leave and enjoy local restaurants and other activities. We even did an indoor sky dive. Overall it was a great trip and a place that we will for sure go back to!

The scenery around this resort was amazing! I could not miss an opportunity to take my kids out and take pictures. Nothing more I enjoy then my kids an my camera! Can do it all day long.. helps that they are so cute!

The fog - I could not get it out of my lens!

We took one afternoon and went to iFly an indoor skydiving place. I thought for sure the kids were going to be scared but not my two! They had the best time. I think we all really enjoyed ourselves. Something I would for sure do again!

We are blessed here in Texas to have made some amazing friends. We had the opportunity to go on the lake and do some tubing with some work friends. The kids all get along so well and we had a great time. My kids once again, they have NO fear and whatever the big kids did - they were right behind them.

Moana made an appearance at a local toy store so we took the kids to meet her. Not the best looking Moana but the kids had a great time

As Jeff says, Moana needs a tan

Mags loves to bathe with the kids. One night unexpected she came over to play and ended up staying until bath time... so we let her borrow one of Riley's nightgowns as that was the only thing that would sort of fit her little petite body. She was so excited to wear her first nightgown and that has started an obsession... Mags will no longer wear any other type of Pj's... sorry Nanny!

How cute are these two?

Me and my sweet Mags!

A new Main Event opened near our house so we have had fun taking the kids there for bowling and to play video games. There is a sky bridge that you can walk on and of course my kids were dying to check it out. Riley is the only one that met the height requirements and she had a blast!

No fear
The kids had fun at Children's Learning Adventure but I am not sure they will be going back. My poor Carter got bit a lot this summer by a kid and the bites were pretty bad. I have not seen bites like this

Paw Paw's birthday is August 2 so we were able to celebrate with him on a recent trip to Houston. All the kids and their Paw-Paw!

Besides our fun activities we have been super busy with house stuff. My poor kids have had to do a lot of rug shopping, furniture shopping, etc... They have been troopers so I cannot complain. Here are a few pics from our time at Gallery furniture.

My presidential babies - ignore Riley's hair

Kids loved trying out the media rooms in each store... Ice cream and a movie!

The house has been coming along. It has been a lot of fun to watch the home go up from the ground and its really starting to look like a home! Our closing is scheduled for August 31 - what an anniversary present for me and Justin, 9 years and our dream home!
