At the kids schools they do not have birthday parties, they have celebration's of life. Justin and I always take off work and bring treats for the kids class to celebrate with them. Carter loves home made blueberry muffins so I baked two dozen mini muffins, brought some fresh fruit and some juice boxes and went to his class to celebrate. Carter and I had made a poster of pictures of him from the past three years for him to share and show all his new friends in the Oak Room. This is our first celebration of life with Carter in the primary (big kid) class so I was anxious to see how he would do. Unlike Riley, he gets shy and does not like being the center of the attention. He seemed to enjoy his celebration with his new friends and after snacks we took him to lunch and to go pick out his birthday present. He really wanted a big boy bike with training wheels. We went to academy sports and rode around on bikes until we found a star wars bike that he fell in love with. He also found a cute spiked dinosaur helmet that he liked. We had a great day as a family and I think my big boy had a great birthday!
