September/October Fun

Sorry I am a bit behind in posting but Justin has been out of the country a lot over the past two months and I am just trying to keep my head above water! The kids are doing well overall and are just growing too fast!

Riley has hit a rough patch lately. I am not sure if its age or something else going on but she is pushing the limits pretty hard and trying to feel out how much she can get away with.  Hoping this stays! I wonder where she gets that from? (I know I know I am guilty :-) ) I know we will get through this but sometimes its exhausting! Last week was rough but after a bunch of long punishments and lots of talks... this week she has been amazing! Overall she is a great kid and I could not be prouder of the little girl she has become. She is super smart and I am very thankful for that! The other day she came home with completed addition work! She is not even 4 yet! She is a great big sister and still is so good with her little brother. Our neighbor recently moved and gave Riley her daughters old Barbie convertible... and Riley LOVES that car. She loves taking it for a spin and having Carter ride in the passenger seat. She is in dance again this year and taking a combo of tap and ballet. She loves her dance class and really likes the tap addition this year. She has the greatest group of friends from her school that I absolutely adore. I am so grateful for the great school the kids go to and the amazing teachers they are blessed to have. Riley is still obsessed with all things Frozen, loves dresses but is athletic and has no fear. We brought the kids last weekend to our church fair and Riley insisted on wearing a dress and a bow but was the youngest kid at the event to climb the rock wall. I love the way her personality is developing and I hope we can just continue to work with her on some of her bad choices!

Carter is growing and developing so much lately! He is talking in sentences and knows so many words its crazy. He has done amazing since we moved him to the Montissory school and he too has a great group of little friends. This week he even went pee pee on the potty! I could not be prouder... he is 20 months! He is a HUGE mommas boy but to be honest I LOVE it. He loves to cuddle with me and give me kisses. He is such a sweet little boy! He is all boy... he loves to play ball, kick ball, and he can be very rough at times playing with his sister or friends. He loves to take bubble baths and as always he LOVES to eat. He adores his sister and follows everything she does (sometimes that is not a good thing!) Carter is obsessed with the moon and always asks me momma where is the moon? He also loves airplanes and luckily we live near the airport so he always gets excited to see all the planes pass by the house.

Below are some recent photos of the kids. Cant wait to see everyone over the holidays.
