Back to school 2014

The summer is over and the academic year is back! The kids were in school all summer of course but they do a lot of fun things and its much more laid back. When the school year starts they buckle down and get to work. I am so glad Carter started school during the summer because he got to adjust before the school year started. Here are a few photos of the kids on the first day of school
My babies, growing up too fast!

The girls love play time!

Carter made the board at school... he is a model!

The LSU tigers came to Houston to pay Wisconsin. We lucked out and found out that the LSU band and the golden girls were going to practice at the high school right by the house. Since the game was so late at night I did not think it would be a good idea to take the kids but the band coming was perfect! I knew the kids would enjoy the music and Riley loves the golden girls! Here are some photos of the kids decked out in their tiger gear waiting on the LSU band!

Carter is doing so well at school and learning so much! He impresses me every day with his words and what he knows.

Riley is also doing very well in school. Her teacher is really working with her on reading and writing and she is improving daily. So far we have had more homework than I can keep up with! She has also started her extracurricular activities. This year she will continue her tumble team at school and she is back in dance. Her dance this year is half tap and half ballet. She LOVES her tap shoes and thinks tap is great! Here are some dance and homework photos.

Girlfriends

Other than that we have been busy with visits from family, kids birthday parties, work and when we get free time we enjoy swimming! Justin is traveling a lot the next two months (currently in Russia) so me and the kids are making the best it and having some fun!

This little stinker thinks its funny to unplug his baby monitor so I can't see him. I caught him in the act!

Happy kiddos heading to school
