The Harrison Family: Trip to New Orleans

So I finally bit the bullet and took both kids to New Orleans. I was very nervous about the car ride (two kids and the dog by myself) and the sleeping situation but overall I think the trip went well. Not without hiccups but overall I cannot complain, I was very proud of my little ones. Carter was very clingy and I think that was because he was sick. I am really sorry I did not get photos of the extended family and the kids. I guess we will have to make sure to do that next time! We made sure to make the most of our time in New Orleans. Grandma, Grandpa and I took the kids to Global Wildlife on Friday. It was awesome, we had such a good time! I have never been but thought that place was a ton of fun. Riley enjoyed the animals a lot! I think thats the first time I have ever had the chance to touch a giraffe. We will for sure be taking daddy there next time we go.

On Friday we had planned to spend the day with my best friend Maija and her adorable twin boys Luke and Zachary. Carter was sick so I spent the morning trying to find an urgent care that would take him. Who knew that no urgent cares see a 9 month old? We spent three hours in one urgent care and they never called us back so I bit the bullet and took him to the emergency room. Thankfully he was ok, just had a severe upper respiratory infection but he was still in good spirits... just needed extra love from mommy. Our visit was not as long as I had planned but we had a good time playing with Maija and her boys.
