The Harrison Family: Christmas in September!

As I have mentioned before Justin and I knew we wanted to get the kids a swing set for the backyard for Christmas. When we went looking at them we came across a great deal on a set already assembled for a photo session but the catch was we had to have it delivered within 2 weeks of the purchase date. So last Saturday was install day. We had spent the entire week telling Riley that if she was good, Santa would come early and bring her something special and she seemed very excited. Saturday we had a busy morning with dance and then our friends birthday party so Riley was out of the house while the guys were completing the installation. When we got home I put her down for a nap and told her if she took a good nap we would have a surprise for her when she woke up. Justin and I were so excited and could not wait to see her reaction when she opened the door and saw the swing set. As you can see from the below video, we did not get the response we wanted. She was confused and I think thought that Santa himself would be in the backyard. Oh well, she does love the swing set and has been having a blast playing with it. She is getting on the big kid swing and working on learning how to swing herself. I know with her it will not be long before she gets the hang of it.

Carter has been having a good time swinging in the yard too! He loves the bucket swing we have and kicks his legs and laughs while we push him. Riley loves pushing her brother in the swing! He is now getting up on his knees and rocking but is still not officially crawling yet. Overall he is doing fantastic and has been super healthy. I think he is teething right now because I have noticed him drooling more and he has been a bit more irritable than normal. He is still super sweet and lovable and I am enjoying every minute I get to spend with him.

We are leaving in one week for our disney cruse! We are all excited and busy preparing for our magical vacation!
