Carter is now four months!

Carter is now 4 months old....WOW! We went to his four month doctor visit and he now weighs 15 pounds 5 ounces and is 25.75 inches long. He must have hit a major growth spurt between his 2 month and 4 month visits. The doctor is very happy with his growth! She told me he is exhibiting the strength and head control of a 6 month old. She gave us the ok to start him in the running stroller, the jumper and the doorway swing. She also mentioned that we can start trying him on food between now and his 6 month visit. UGH... its just hard to hear as I was hoping he would stay a baby forever! I thought the first child grew up fast but I think the second goes by faster! Justin and I are going to wait a little bit before starting solids. He is not yet showing any interest and does not appear to be hungry quite yet. He is still a great baby and has the sweetest personality. He is doing much better with naps and is taking 4 a day. We moved Carter out of our room Friday night and now he is officially in the nursery. So far he has been sleeping great and we are not having any problems. He goes to bed between 7-7:30 and as of two days ago is sleeping through the night! He gets up around 6:30... that is so much better than 3AM!   He is trying so hard to roll from his back to his stomach but is still not quite there yet. Carter loves his new toys and still adores his sister. Next week I am going to try him at my gym daycare. They are giving me a few weeks to try and see how he does. I really hope he does ok as I really miss my gym!

Riley is still doing great! She has not had any accidents in quite some time so I think we are on a roll with potty training. She started tumble team at school (kids gymnastics) and I am hoping she will enjoy that. Last week was her first day and she cried... but I hope that was a one time thing. Riley is very resistant to change and since she does not know the coach, she had a meltdown. Once she started they said she did well so I am hoping this week will be better. With all her energy and her love for gymnastics I would think she would really like this! School is going well and they are starting their summer program this week which includes some fun field trips. On Thursday she is hosting her daddy for their annual fathers day breakfast and they are both very excited. She is turning into quite the girly girl and loves to wear dresses, wear hair bows and play dress up! She loves to put on a dress and ask everyone, "you like my dress?" Her personality keeps Justin and I very entertained. I went to pick her up on Friday and her teacher told me she decided to invite the entire class to her house to swim in her hot pool (this is what she calls the hot tub) and when we were leaving she reminded them all to not forget to bring their floaties...I mean she is only 2 and already throwing parties! We have a birds nest on our ceiling fan on the patio and Riley loves looking at the baby birds. The birds have been pooping on our patio so when I walked outside I overheard Riley giving the birds a lecture that you do not poop out the nest... you poop in the potty! She is such a piece of work!

Here are some photos:
