April was a busy month for end of the year/season activities. Our family suffered the great loss of Shirley Renton, my beloved grandmother. I was fortunate to be able a trip to Louisiana to spend one last day with her before her passing. She was loved by many and will be severely missed.

Riley ended her soccer season strong! She had a great season and the team won out and beat coach Scarlet's team FINALLY! Riley played fantastic and has really grown into an amazing little athlete. I love watching my girl do her thing on the field. She had a great coach and a fantastic team - the Kicking Kangaroos (her coach is an Aussie)

Riley ran into an old Friend on the soccer field - Jake Eitrem - oh how they have grown!
Jeff hosted a delicious crawfish boil at his new house to celebrate Anita's birthday (Bill's FABULOUS girlfriend) We had a blast and the crawfish were amazing thanks to Jeff's friend Pat. The kids had so much fun playing with the mudbugs.

Carter completed his blue belt test this month in karate. We are so proud of how much out little boy has accomplished at TKD. He has learned so much and I am so grateful for finding this! Karate has done wonders for Carters confidence, discipline, self control, and many other aspects. The best part is he truly enjoys is! We are taking the summer off so Carter can enjoy swim team (his choice) but we will be back in the fall!
He crushed his goals!
And just like that Swim team begins - my little fish is ready to start practice as a Village Otter!
Carter is still doing fantastic in Kindergarten. His behavior has gotten much better and I see his confidence going up so I am beyond happy. His teacher is amazing with him and I think he is loving the academic challenges. Carter even made star student in his class. He was so proud of his poster that he made himself
