November 2016 - All Saints Day, Thanksgiving, and more

Our first November in Catholic School so that meant our first year at making our All Saints Day costume. Riley picked Our Lady of Fatima (yes she was on the approved list) so that meant mom had to make some trips to Michaels and Hobby Lobby to figure out how to make a costume. Next year I will be much more prepared but I thought our costume was pretty good for our first year. Luckily Justin and I were able to go into work late and watch the parade. It sure does bring back my own elementary school memories!

Riley's first soccer season with the Texas Heatwave ended. Her season with the queen bees was so much fun! I was so proud at how much she improved during the season! A lot of her St. Martha's friends played on the team with her and she really enjoyed the season. We are glad to have our Saturdays back!

We stayed in Texas this Thanksgiving and enjoyed the day with friends that also share out of state family. For the first time this year we went to the Houston HEB Thanksgiving day parade. It was not the Macy's day parade but it was a lot of fun! We celebrated at our house and enjoyed delicious fried turkeys and the traditional Thanksgiving sides (green beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, etc..) and of course Jeff's homemade apple pie. Billy was able to join us and we had a fun day!

After our delicious dinner we enjoyed some fun family games with the kids. This game the kids had to use only their mouths and dig the gummy worms out of the pie dish filled with whipped cream. My two loved this! Talk about sugar overload!

November is Maggie Jane's Birthday! We had a super fun Elmo party at Jeff and Kristen's house. I cannot believe my little peanut is now 2!

This face... so precious!

Mags now likes to ride with the big kids in the power wheels! Good think this jeep has seat belts!

Riley and I had the chance to run our first race together. It was a color run at her school that was for charity to support cancer. It was a 5K and we had a ton of fun. I was proud of Riley for running that far! We had color in our crevices for days!

Life of a carpool mom! I feel like my days are full of drop offs/pick ups of all kinds!

My little man is really struggling at school. Academically he is exceptional but he is having a hard time listening and following directions. I think a lot of it has to do with his lack of maturity and desire to get attention regardless of weather its good or bad. I went to his class one day to observe and he LOVED that. This was his work he did and he was so proud to show mommy.
