October 2016 - Soccer, school fair, halloween and more!

October was full of activities for the family! On Columbus day, I decided to take the day off of work and have a fun day at the farm with the kids. The weather was amazing so we went out to a place called Berryland farms about an hour from our house. It was a super fun day filled with hill slides, hay rides, corn mazes and more. We packed our lunch and some snacks and headed out for a fun day on the farm. Sometimes a good day of fun is just what we need to recharge our batteries.
The kids loved this huge hill slide. They had to get a burlap sack and sit on it and they would go sailing down the hill!

Happy kiddos!

We had the chance to do our first corn maze. The kids thought this was really fun and took turns leading the way to try and get us out.
Stop midway for a photo op!

We made it! The kids were very proud of this accomplishment

Hayride fun!

They play so nice together.. sometimes!

Riley's new school Saint Marthas has a fall church fair every year and this year we took the kids, and Nanny and Uncle Jeff joined. The kids had a blast... and I think their favorite part was this homemade train

Riley played for the Queen Bee soccer team through the Texas Heatwave this Fall. Coach Tony Eastman was the head coach and he had a great group of girls. They plated really well and Riley improved so much this season! Below are her team pictures

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. We always try and get a family theme for our costumes. This year Carter chose the Avengers (he is in LOVE with Avengers) Carter dressed as super man for his school fall festival and as the Incredible Hulk for Halloween day. His school annually hosts a Fall Festival for charity benefiting the make a wish foundation. Here are a few photos:

We always spend Halloween day  with Nanny, Uncle Jeff and Mags. This year they came to our house for some trick or treating fun. Unfortunately Maggie was not a fan of Carters Hulk mask and got really scared so I was not able to get a photo of all three kids. I still was able to get some cute ones of them though!

I took the kids with me to vote. When I said vote... Carter thought I said boat, so the entire time in the voting line he was asking, "mom, where is the boat? I do not see any water? What kind of boat is this?" He kept the entire line entertained!

They love PJ time. Daddy got them matching superman PJ's and they love them!
