October 2015 - Halloween, Fall soccer and family fun

October was a busy but super fun month! Riley started in her fall soccer league early in the month. To be honest Justin and I were really nervous as to how she would do playing a sport and did not want to be the parents of the kid in the field picking flowers. We were pleasantly surprised that she really got into the game and has really played well! She loves to score goals and works really hard to make that happen. With each game she got more and more aggressive on defense and I could not be more proud at how hard she worked this season! Her league was great and they played only 3 on 3 so she got plenty of playing time and really is starting to understand the game. Carter, Daddy and I loved to sit on the sidelines and cheer her on! Every Saturday you can find Carter on the sidelines cheering on his sister in the same outfit... his LSU Tiger shirt and his LSU tiger pants (thanks grandma and grandpa Renton... he LOVES these pants and wears them all the time!! Literally EVERY Saturday!) Poor Carter cannot wait until its his turn to play. Next summer we will likely give him a shot at the game.

Halloween is one of my all time favorite holidays. This year things at home and work are super busy and I just did not have the time to make the kids costumes. The kids school has a big charity event for the make a wish foundation they call Fall Festival. For the festival Riley chose to wear her Princess Ana dress and Carter was Hulk Hogan. We had a blast at Fall Festival with our friends and even Nanny, Uncle Jeff and Mags came and joined in the fun! Unfortunately the weather was awful so the party had to be moved indoors. The kids did not seem to mind and still enjoyed playing a games and spending time with friends. Maggie LOVED the people watching and the music!

Halloween day we traditionally get together with Nanny and Uncle Jeff and go trick or treating in the neighborhood. Since this was Maggie's first year... it was extra exciting for all of us! Of course the weather did not cooperate so it was a pretty yucky day with lots of light rain but the kids did not seem to mind and LOVED running from house to house asking for candy. Both of my kids were very into the holiday and had a blast. We pulled Maggie in the wagon for the first time and she had a blast too. My kids wanted to wear other costumes for trick or treating so Riley chose her Cindarella dress and Carter wanted to wear his Camo. Mags was an LSU cheerleader.

We had a Halloween cookie decorating party and the kids had a ton of fun. They enjoyed eating the icing more than anything else but actually did decorate some cookies. Nanny and Mags came to join in the fun and help us decorate!

Carter put one bit of icing on the cookie.. rest in his mouth!

Some other miscellaneous photos and events from the month:

Riley made the school newsletter... I have no idea what this kid is talking about.. her imagination is crazy!

Enjoying Ainsley's Cindarella party

Riley told Cindarella that we are going to have breakfast in her house next year!

Carter loved Cindarella too!

We have a neighborhood slash pad in our area that the kids love to play in. Sometimes on Friday nights we head that way for some wet fun!

Cousin Carole spent one Sunday with us and the girls had so much fun playing dress up and watching movies
