June 2014 - dance recital, swim lessons, fathers day and much more!

Its summer and we are crazy busy... as usual. We wrapped up the end of May with Riley's first dance recital. I have been waiting to post until I get the professional video but that has taken so long that I will just post the video that Justin took. Riley was real excited about the recital and truly enjoyed her dance lessons. She loved her recital costume and all the hype that came with it. I was very nervous that she would freeze when the curtain opened but luckily she didn't. Overall I was very pleased with my little dancing princess. Here are some photos:

Carter is still growing up too fast and is still as sweet as ever. He still adores his older sister but he is learning to stand up for himself... he is not one to be pushed around. He is typical boy and loves all things cars and balls. He is running and climbing anything he can. Our playhouse in the backyard is over 8 feet tall and Carter will climb the ladder all the way up all by himself! He is doing well in school and seems to get along really well with the other kids. He moved to the toddler room at his current school and I am not as happy with him in this room as I was in the previous room. Carter spends a lot of time in a highchair table and I am ready for him to move to Riley's school where he has a more structured learning program and they teach him more independence. He will start next Monday! One more week with the kids in separate schools! Carter has not been as bad as Riley was with the ear infections but he does still get them, and when he does... we have the high fever and it can be so scary. Carter had one last week and poor baby was miserable. If we get another infection this summer, we are off to see an ENT to get him evaluated for tubes. I am hoping that we do not have to go this route.

Riley started swim lessons and this year instead of going to the place we previously attended, we have decided to hire a private coach to come to the house and work one on one with Riley. We found Coach Omar and we could not be happier with him and how great he is with Riley. She has only had 2 lessons so far but we can already see a ton of progress.

We are headed on our annual vacation at the end of July. We are going to an all inclusive family friendly resort in Mexico. We are all very excited and everyone has their passports ready! When we return from our vacation we will be heading to New Orleans to celebrate the latest Renton baby! We cannot wait to see everyone! Here are more photos of the family:
