As we are halfway through January I realize our time as a family of three .5 (Luca) is coming to a fast close. I am officially 37 weeks pregnant on Saturday which means I am full term and our new little boy will be here any day now. My doctor does not think our little guy will go the full distance so Justin and I are busy getting ready for his arrival! Yesterday was my last day in the office so I have a little time for me to get some rest and work on getting things ready for our little man! I am so excited for the arrival of our new baby but at the same time find myself melancholy about the fact that my relationship with my little girl is going to change. She is so amazing and I love our relationship. I am hopeful that she embraces her new little brother. I guess only time will tell. Riley is still doing absolutely amazing. She is sleeping in her big girl bed and doing very well! That transition was not nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. We have been working on potty training and this process takes longer and more patience than I thought. Riley has been diaper free at school for the past 2 weeks and her teachers are very pleased with her progress. She is down to having only 1 accident a day which her teachers tell me is good progress. I think she is better at school than she is at home, but two nights ago she pooped on the potty so I will take it. Small steps! Other than that our little girl is super happy and getting smarter by the day. She has full on conversations with us at this point and is extremely articulate. We have been completely healthy since the tubes and adenoid removal so I cannot be happier. Things are good in our house and we are extremely blessed. Here are some photos:
