Riley is 19.5 months and I just cannot believe how fast time has gone! She is such the little girl now and no longer resembles the baby I once had. She is such a pleasure to be around! I hate to see her grow up so fast but I am enjoying each and every stage she goes through. Riley is doing fantastic at the new school. Drop offs were never bad at this school but she would always fuss when I would walk out the door. Well those days are over! Now she turns to look at me and waves Bye Bye! It makes my mornings so much better knowing that she is not even upset at all when I leave. She is super excited when we show up to get her and I love that! In her class they do a lot of art work and Riley loves it. She comes home from school covered in marker or paint so I know she is having fun. We have stacks of beautiful work she has done! She is loving colors and is doing pretty well with identifying them. Her favorite color is yellow and when in doubt she will always default to everything being yellow. She still loves her board books and is doing great with her flash cards. I think Justin and I have been blessed with a pretty smart little cookie!
Riley has the cutest personality and is so friendly. She waves and talks to anyone... I wonder where she gets that from (ha!). Last weekend grandma and grandpa came to see us and Riley had a blast with them. She no longer takes any time to warm up to them. Riley and paw paw spent time in the yard and pool identifying bees, planes, and trees. Anything other than a bird that flies Riley thinks is a bee and when she sees a plane she yells plane and waves. We live close to the airport so we have frequent airplane sightings. When paw paw left the house to go and get bagels for breakfast, Riley waited in the window for his return. She truly does love her grandparents!
