We have fallen a little behind on our photos and posts. Things have been pretty hectic around the Harrison house with me going back to work and Riley starting daycare at Kids R Kids. I started work on August 1 and things are just now starting to settle down. The weekend before I started work Justin had to go to London to teach a class so I was completely on my own. The first drop off was awful. One of the hardest things I have ever done. I really needed Justin's help on the first day. Of course everyone at work wanted to ask about her and talk about her and every time they did, I cried. The best part of my day was picking her up and seeing her precious smile when she saw me. Day 2 was easier. By day three Riley had a 101.9 fever and I had to leave work and bring her to the doctor. That did not help me with the guilty feelings. Things have gotten progressively easier and we are starting to settle into a routine. Riley loves the teachers at daycare and is really doing well. She is eating well but just not napping as much as I would like at daycare. She comes home exhausted so she is now going to bed at 7:30.
Riley is growing like a weed. She is now 18 pounds 7 ounces. She sits up very well and is now officially crawling. She is not that fast but she certainly gets where she needs to go. She is so proud of herself and her ability to get around. She is very vocal and talks all the time. We still have just the 2 bottom teeth but I have a feeling the top teeth are coming soon. She is showing all the teething signs. She is a very happy baby and really only cries when she is tired or hungry. We have really lucked out with this baby! Here are a few of our recent photos:
