Riley's Baptism!

We finally made it to New Orleans for Riley to meet her extended family. I was extremely nervous about taking her on a 5 hour car ride and how she would act. She was an absolute angel! On the way there she went about 4 hours without making a sound, woke up in Baton Rouge but that was just to eat so I was able to feed her in her car seat and we were on our way. Our car was packed to the brim with me, Justin, the dog, Riley and all of our things. I think I understand why most moms drive a suburban :).

Saturday March 26 was Riley's Baptism. It was a private ceremony preformed by Father Joseph Cazenavette, a close family friend. My parents had a party at their house afterward. We were so excited to see so many of our family and friends. Riley did well during the entire Baptism. She slept until she got water poured on her head which is understandable. During the party after she was extremely overwhelmed. I do not think she has ever been around that many people at once. I am sorry that I did not get to take more photos with her and her family and that everyone did not get a chance to hold her but hopefully next trip she will be a little more cooperative.

Here are some photos:

  1. She was sooooo cute today at lunch! I wanted to pick her up and hold her, but she was just too happy in her carrier. Next time!
