4 Month Checkup and 1st time in the pool

Riley went for her 4 month checkup on Friday. She weighs 14 pounds 8 ounces and is 2'1" long. Her doctor was very happy with her growth, she is in the 70th percentile in everything.  She is meeting all of her milestones... she smiles and laughs a lot and is very close to rolling from her back to her tummy. She talks a lot but does not make much sense yet. She starts to lift herself up but cannot get all the way there. She has given us the ok to give Riley cereal but we are not yet ready to do that. Riley has not shown any interest in food to this point so we are going to wait a little while longer. We bought our first box of baby oatmeal today... just for when she is ready. Dr Smoot told us we need break Riley of her swaddle habit. I am not ready to do this but if the Dr is telling me its whats best, I guess i will have to comply. I am very spoiled... Riley sleeps from 9Pm to 7AM and naps 4 times a day.

Today was a fantastic day so we decided to put Riley in the pool. Thanks to Aunt Elizabeth Riley has some very fashionable swimsuits. The pool was about 81 degrees so we decided to go for it. She is too small for any of her rafts but we held her in the water. She loved it. Justin had her in the water and she was kicking her legs! It was absolutely adorable! Tomorrow for Eater all of her Aunts and Uncles will be coming over so we are looking forward to an Easter spent swimming with our family.

Justins mom has been in town and things are completely hectic so we are a little late on our 4 month block picture but I will post soon. We hope everyone has a Happy Easter!!!
