Carter is 5 Months & July 4th

The past month has been really hot so we spend the majority of our time swimming in the pool. The kids love it and its a great way to keep them entertained and wear them out! Riley's teacher is again saying she is ready to move to the next room (called the primary room and it is for 3 -5 year olds). Riley is not too keen on the idea but she hates all change. They are talking about moving her in August. I am not looking forward to the emotional roller coaster that will put Riley on! It will be good for her once she gets settled. Riley is really starting to test the limits these days and see what she can get away with. Now when I punish her she tells me that I hurt her feelings and I need to apologize... This kid... I know I am in trouble with her... I see so much of myself in her its scary. She will keep me on my toes for sure! For July 4th we had our friends over to the house and had a great time swimming and lighting fire works. The girls loved the fireworks!

Carter is still doing great... I cannot believe he is now 5 Months! We have not yet started him on food but I need to do that sometime in the next 4 weeks per the pediatrician. Carter is still sleeping at night perfectly. He goes to bed at 7 and sleeps until about 6. At 6 you can hear him talking but he does not get up until about 7 am. I have really lucked out with this kid. He is happy and very healthy. He is not the best napper but we are continuing to work with him on that one. He is most of the time just smiling. I think he is teething and I am waiting to see a tooth pop through but nothing yet. He loves his sister and she loves him. When she sings to him he just lays back and smiles... it melts my heart.
