I am a little behind on my posts and I apologize but since vacation it seems like things have been moving at a very rapid pace! Riley started her new school and Justin and I could not be happier with our decision. The new school is a Montissory school and is much smaller and more intimate then the previous school. Justin and I love the teachers at the new school, they are so attentive to Riley and keep us posted on everything that is going on. In her new school they have class pets and in Riley's room is a white bunny named Peter. Riley LOVES Peter! Thats all she talks about when she wakes up and the entire ride home from school. Peter roams the classroom when the kids are in the room and on Mondays they bathe him. I like the way they are teaching her how to properly care for pets but I do feel for poor Peter. With all those kids chasing after him, I am sure he has some rough days. Riley even picks him up... its very entertaining to watch. The school also has in house field trips every Wednesday. Last week the Houston Zoo came and brought reptiles. Riley of course touched the snakes and lizards and anything they would let her. My baby has no fear! I guess growing up with the dog.. she thinks all animals are as friendly as Luca. Justin and I are trying to teach her that is not the case!

Riley is still taking swimming lessons at our local FINS and she is doing great! She just got moved up to the next level last week. Now she is in the pool without mom or dad. I thought the first time would be challenging but she could have cared less. I was so proud of her! She is learning a lot and is very comfortable in the water.

Riley is talking a ton! She is so smart she amazes me with everything she knows. She can count from 1-3, she knows her main colors and most impressively can identify words by sight from her baby can read movies. Its amazing! Riley has always liked the baby can read videos but we have recently started with the flash cards. I guess all those words have sunk in! Below is the video of me and Riley doing cards before bed.
We had some friends over last weekend that have a precious little boy a few months older than Riley. Riley and Conway have been friends since birth and had a great time playing together. I think Conway is Riley's first love!
