Riley at 10 months..

So I have been a bit behind with my posts, no excuse but it seems like time just passes me by. Between work, keeping up with Riley, and my other responsibilities I am having trouble keeping up! Riley is fantastic! She is 20.14 pounds and growing like a weed! She is meeting all of her milestones and the doctor is very happy with her progress. She is crawling, pulling up, standing on her own at times (not for long) and scooting while holding on to furniture. Justin and I could not be happier. She really has not been as sick as I thought she would be while at daycare. We stayed home Friday because Riley had a fever and the Dr said it was a case Hand Foot and Mouth. Her fever got up to 102 the first night but after some tylenol and a day home with mom she was back running full speed. We have been spending most days after school outside at the park enjoying this gorgeous weather! Riley loves to swing! We have been working on a few transitions here lately. By end of November Riley needs to be able to drink her formula out of a sippy cup. She does well with water out of a sippy cup but I think she is resistant to change like her dad. She wants her formula in a bottle. We are taking slow baby steps and hoping that we can meet our deadline of end of November. On the eating front she is starting to do better. We have struggled with Riley and eating since day 1. What we failed to realize is that we should be cutting back her formula and giving her more solids. I guess that was a 1st time parent mistake but we are on track and cutting back the formula seems to be helping. She is eating lots of table food now. She is very picky about certain textures but has done well with crackers, eggo waffles, cut up chicken, so we are making progress!

This weekend we had a kids halloween event at our lifetime fitness center. We invited our friend Craig and Jaime and their 14 month old daughter Emma to join us. The girls got dressed in their costumes and had a good time playing. The girls even enjoyed their first hayride! Uncle Jeff tagged along with us too! We all had a great day! Here are some photos:
